On 26-27 November 2025, Institute for Transport and Logistics Foundation (ITL), European Network of Logistics Competence Centers (OPEN ENLoCC) and Centre for Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH) participated at the Annual POLIS Conference, held this year in Utrecht, in the Netherlands.
Organised by POLIS network and hosted by City of Utrecht, the two-day event gathered around 1,000 public and private stakeholders fostering innovation in urban mobility across Europe, with several panels bringing insightful sustainable urban mobility practices from European cities implemented in their local contexts.
In this occasion, partners brought MED COLOURS to the stage among other exhibitors, to present the event’s audience the results achieved throughout the project and ongoing pilot actions, exchanging ideas and experiences to drive the future’s sustainable mobility in European cities. Also, it was an opportunity to present the final draft of the Resilient SULP (Sustainable Urban Logistics Plan) guidelines. Developed by CERTH, these guidelines are grounded in an evidence-based process combining established resilience concepts with practical input from six MED COLOURS partner cities. Using an innovation readiness self-assessment and a qualitative SUMP/SULP review, the process highlighted common gaps between strategic aims and delivery, which were included into an improved planning cycle tailored to the shared vulnerabilities of Mediterranean urban logistics. Partners could also present to the audience the MED COLOURS Survey on Innovative and Transformative Trends in Urban Logistics, which aims to gather valuable inputs from different stakeholders operating in the urban logistics to assess the importance of some of the current key technologies and practices in this field.
