On 20 February at 10:00 CET, MEDCOLOURS will contribute to the European webinar: “Optimising Logistics for Short Food Supply Chains – How can logistics strengthen the environmental and economic sustainability of short, local and solidarity-based food supply chains?”

Organised in collaboration with GARDEN: Interreg Euro-MED Project and Food4CE Project, the webinar will focus on the logistical challenges faced by Alternative Food Networks and the practical solutions being tested across Europe.

Discussion points include:
• How AFNs and short food supply chains are defined at EU and local levels
• The main logistical barriers and their environmental impact
• Practical solutions tested through GARDEN Project and Food4CE Project
• How these approaches contribute to Public Policies and Sustainable Urban Logistics

MED COLOURS Project contributes to this webinar by bringing its expertise on Sustainable Urban Logistics and the development of Sustainable Urban Logistics Plans (SULPs) in Mediterranean cities. The discussion offers an opportunity to reflect on how #UrbanLogistics planning can support more efficient and environmentally responsible food distribution systems.
